We jointly organize the scientific conference titled Mixtura Texturalis – People and textiles in the Carpathian Basin for the second time this autumn. Our goal is to create an interdisciplinary workshop that encourages participants to engage in active dialogue and co-operation in the fields of archaeological textiles and tools, textile costume elements and the production, use and consumption of textiles of past human societies through their complex interpretations.

We are looking forward to max. 20-minute lectures or 5-minute posters (in the case of the latter, with the demonstration of a single find or site) that illustrate the versatility of the making and use of past textiles, as well as their economic, social, etc. aspects in a scientific style.

Please send the abstracts of the lectures and posters (max. 400 words) to weisz.boglarka@btk.mta.hu AND pszeoke23@gmail.com as well by August 30, 2018!
